Is it really the end...
See you later.
TQL Learning 2.0 Edna Group
Well I created a Face book account and an Edna account. I commented on the 23 things topic left by Tanya and created a new discussion about You Tube. I found leaving a reply and starting a discussion very easy. I would like to know what other people thought about You Tube, hence my new discussion post. This is a really good way to discuss specific things about the Learning 2.0 experience. Now that I am nearly finished I can reflect on what I have enjoyed the most.

Podcasting
Just somebody reviewing children's books. A cute one. Another way to access book reviews which is handy. You could review books forever. A great tool. I did not add this one to bloglines, however I added a Dr. Who podcast feed as I thoroughly enjoy this program.
Well I could not get Odeo to work for me so I did it the hard way with Zamzar. (not that hard). The most annoying thing was that Odeo would have been easy if it had worked, but as it was this optional exercise was frustrating. I was happy that I got there in the end. I really had nothing to 'pod' about so I read a little story from one of my daughters books. See what you think

Youtube and others
I do like this music video from the Killers. I was able to access You Tube so here it is.
I suppose from a library perspective I could use this site to record and upload video snippets into the online student flexilearn centre orientation. A few small video clips in the orientation would probably hold student interest more. Anyway I love that you can find all the latest music videos. I will be revisiting these video sites for sure. I downloaded one from DailyMotion however, when I revisited my blog it didn't want to play it so I went to Yahoo and got this. Have a listen to the one I chose. I think Avril Lavigne is awesome.
Web 2.0 Tools - Picture 2 Life
Hi,
After much browsing through the award winning sites I chose Picture2Life I do like working with images which is why I really enjoyed Flickr and Gizmoz. This site made it easy for me to upload my pictures and edit them. I created collages and animations with my photos. As you can see I have inserted one of the collages. Probably not super easy to use, I quickly got used to navigating around. Just needed a bit of time. A great site. I have also listed the link to the site if you want to have a go.

Zoho Writer
This is just some information I was using at one stage, to develop a website for my parents backpacker hostel. Have not actually completed it yet.

PBWiki
I have just been on the PBWIKI site adding a few comments to the Favourite Movie and TV Show pages. I found it very easy to create a link to my blog site from there.
Not the most scintillating of tasks. But hey, done and dusted.
Here's a quote from one of my colleagues which has nothing to do with Wikis.

Wiki or Wiki Tiki Monster!
A great way to get people collaborating to develop a website. Anyone can add or edit. It is good to know that sometimes wikis can only be open to a specific group eg. librarians to ensure 'quality control' of information. Personally I liked the wiki that allowed booklovers to add their comments or reviews about what they were reading at the time. I would check out that wiki occasionally, to see what is popular at the moment. I have added this link to the Princeton Public Library wiki. Please check it out. Princeton Public Library WIKI

Library 2.0
I have chosen to add my own thoughts after reading 'Away from Icebergs'. I see from my learning experiences in TQL Learning 2.0, there are many ways that libraries can potentially bring themselves to their clients. The more tasks I attempt in the course, the more I am inclined to find ways to integrate these into my work on a daily basis. I have experienced new ways to find information and share my knowledge and skills with others. I can see the value of online networking, and how many of these tools allow us to break down communication barriers, and free up access to information. I am enjoying the opportunity to upskill myself.

Technorati
A great tool for finding interesting blogs. I went there and claimed my own blog. Is it me or are there others out there who don't seem to be able to find many blogs that hold one's interest? Anyway I have made it possible to quickly add my blog to your technorati favourites. Just click on the green button on the right.
Cheers

Library Thing
I found this sight very easy to use. Not to mention quite interesting. I went
to the talk section and found interesting comments regarding my favourite authors.
Loved reading about what others think of these novels. I have posted a search widget and one to my library from Library Thing. Please feel free to take a look.
Catch ya.

Finding Feeds
By the time I got to task 9 I have to say that I was quite fed up with finding feeds. This exercise was tedious and I am glad to be moving on now. I just find that there are not a lot of blogs/feeds I find interesting. Good to use Feedster and the others. Useful to know how.

RSS Feeds
Well these are a great way to keep up to date with current news. You can subscribe to just about any topic on your bloglines account and have all the updated posts waiting for you. I guess you could fall into the trap of having too many. As I have so little spare time anyway, I couldn't see me spending much time in my account. I have created a link to my account in my learning space. Please feel free to take a look.
Cheers Kat.

Comment about Technology
Well I have been enjoying using new web tools, apps etc. You can spend an awful lot of time playing around.
This is really a great opportunity to spend time learning new tricks. I love the Gizmoz sight. Perhaps I will go back in there and create a couple more!
